We offer our clients a broad spectrum of complementary disciplines: from the formulation of a differentiating brand strategy to the development of a powerful corporate design & branding to the design of intuitive user experiences and digital products.

The GABC team is supported by trustworthy and long-standing partnerships with agencies, technical service providers and freelancers, which we integrate into our mandates according to specific requirements. We work in close cooperation with Uli Mayer-Johanssen and Uli Mayer-Johanssen GmbH, 3st kommunikation GmbH and 3st digital GmbH.

GABC has offices in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin and is managed by Prof. Gregor Ade and Alex Schwaderer. Both have almost forty years of professional experience in brand consulting and design – from the internationally active Dax group to the medium-sized "hidden champion", the ambitious technology start-up to the successful cultural institution.

Gregor Ade is Professor for Corporate Identity, Corporate Design and Typography at the University of Mainz. From 2008 to 2015, Gregor Ade was Creative Director, Managing Director and Managing Partner at the Peter Schmidt Group (BBDO Worldwide), Germany's largest branding agency.

Alex Schwaderer is a brand-strategy & technology entrepreneur and worked until 2012 as a strategic planner for a number of renowned communications agencies and brand consulting firms in the USA and Germany – most recently as Head of Strategy at Zum goldenen Hirschen (WPP).

KION Group Branding

We are delighted to welcome our new client, the KION Group. With more than 33,000 employees, the KION Group is the largest manufacturer of industrial trucks in Europe, the second-largest manufacturer on the world market and the world's leading supplier of warehouse automation technologies. More than 1.4 million industrial trucks and over 6,000 automated storage systems from the KION Group are in use on six continents. GABC won the contract in a broadly conceived pitch. We are already working on topics such as brand architecture, nomenclature, corporate design & branding, media assets, brand spaces and much more.

Welcome Alex!

We are delighted about the appointment of Alex Schwaderer as Managing Director to our leadership team: As of 1 October, he will join our offices in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main as Managing Director. DZ HYP Icons

In 2018, the merger of the two cooperative real estate banks dg hyp and wl bank to dz hyp ag was completed. Gregor Ade Brand Consulting accompanied and supported the merger to one of the leading real estate and pfandbrief banks in Germany: from the strategic positioning, the naming, the development of corporate design to numerous media. GABC cooperated with other agency partners such as serviceplan (launch campaign) and fuse (website). The new corporate design also created a characteristic, modern icon language with over 150 specific and media icons.

Friedrich by DZ BANK

The online magazine of the DZ BANK for private clients of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken starts the next phase. “Friedrich, Research. Trends. Analyses” is published every three months with up-to-date assessments of capital markets and the economy as well as investment tips. The articles are easy to understand, visually appealing, and include media such as animated graphics or short films. Credit unions can forward the magazine to their private clients exclusively via a personal link. “Friedrich” (a reference to Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen, one of the fathers of the modern credit union idea and the eponym of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken) is published online only, thus supporting the digital strategy of DZ BANK. GABC develops and manages the online magazine in collaboration with 3st Kommunikation and NetFederation.

Previously, Rebecca Müller was a visual designer at UX Studio at Avanade Germany, a specialist for digital transformation. As a student, she had already worked in global innovation for DB Schenker, and did her master's work at Daimler AG, in the future innovation department. Welcome!

Some of the leading creative minds within the country are members of The Art Directors Club of Germany (ADC) e. THE DEUTSCHE BÖRSE GROUP HAS A NEW STADIUM BOX

The Deutsche Börse Group has been an ardent financial supporter of Eintracht Frankfurt since 2017 and now both its passion and enthusiasm for the team have become more visible inside the company's own box at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt. Cabinets attached to the walls now display player’s kit and the decoration of box E15 is reminiscent of a locker room. Above everything is a stylised goal in the form of sail that floats across the ceiling to complete the visual design and the whole project was implemented in cooperation with Uli Mayer-Johanssen GmbH and Bieker AG.

Professor of Corporate Identity/Corporate Design

Gregor Ade has been appointed as Professor of Corporate Identity/Corporate Design at the Mainz University of Applied Science. As of the 2017 winter semester Gregor Ade will assume professorship of Corporate Identity/Corporate Design and will lecture in brand strategy and cross-media, visual brand development, brand management and typography. The city of Mainz, where Johannes Gutenberg first invented a typeset with movable letters, is today home to one of the largest academic design institutions within Germany and specialises in communication design, interior architecture and modern media applications.

A new office inside an historical town house within Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel is currently being renovated for Gregor Ade Brand Consulting and will open in the january of 2018. A NEW CORPORATE DESIGN FOR FRANKFURT AM MAIN

As a component of Gregor Ade's Visiting Professorship at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, students of the Corporate Design Course (winter term 2016/2017) had positioned Frankfurt am Main as a diverse, innovative and citizen oriented city and developed a fictitious visual appearance for it that projected a Rhein-Main metropolis of tomorrow.
